Our students become insightful observers of our contemporary world by understanding the world鈥檚 religious traditions and enjoy careers in religious institutions, international service organizations, NGOs, social services and academia.

Minor in Religious Studies

The minor in religious studies allows students to explore many of the world's long-standing religious traditions and gain insight into our contemporary world while working toward a BA in another major at CU Boulder. The program teaches religious beliefs in the context of gender and sexuality, interreligious interaction, law and politics, and religion and violence.听

Academic Plan & Requirements

To earn the minor, students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours in religious studies courses, including a total of 9 upper-division credit hours. Students have flexibility choosing their class topics for this minor.

John Lauer

Deputy district attorney with baby直播app鈥檚 20th Judicial District (Boulder County). He also has worked in disaster response for Gov. John Hickenlooper鈥檚 Governor鈥檚 Office of Legal Counsel and as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service鈥檚 Tatanka Hotshot Crew. He partnered with Change.org to for health insurance for seasonal federal firefighters during the Obama administration and founded Groundswell, a clean-energy nonprofit in Washington, D.C.
