Project Description

The Brain, AI, and Child (BAIC) lab at the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder is looking for undergraduate assistants who are interested in gaining research experiences in the intersection of computer science and neuroscience. You will be a part of an interdisciplinary team to investigate the question: “How can we design and develop better interactive AI systems for children?†You will gain technical skills in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and brain scanning (fNIRS). You will gain research skills by assisting in two ways. First, you will support our team’s data collection efforts, which involves communicating with participants, operating AR/VR prototypes during experiments, and solving problems shall they occur. Second, you will contribute to the subsequent data analysis efforts, which involves cleaning the data, labeling data for machine learning, and testing neural network models. You will receive training and mentorship to help you develop the necessary skills to succeed in these research tasks.

  2. Familiarity with AR/VR.
