On the evening of Monday, October 24th, 40 PhD students turned up for their Fall Social at Khow Thai, exclusively reserved for this event. During seven rounds of rowdy 鈥渟peed-meeting,鈥� students who鈥檝e been in the same CU department for years without bumping into each other, were engaged in multiple, quick, friendly conversations between which they cruised the restaurant for random seating, in a Musical Chairs game of sorts. One student said, 鈥渋t was loads of fund, and I loved it.鈥� Thai tea, Pad Thai Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice were popular menu items, and students poked fun at one another when it came time to reflect via post-its added to a wall-of-memories, on the most impressive stories told that night-聽mostly聽in good taste.
