Kari SantosÌıholds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and has worked as a software engineer for more than 20 years. Her projects have included digital communications technology, digital video, Facebook and e-books. A few years ago, she, her husband and their three children traveled through Asia for a year, volunteering about a third of the time with NGOs in four different countries. For the last two summers, she's led theÌıpopular computer science camp Girls on Fire at the ATLAS Institute.ÌıAs part of her master's program inÌıInformation and Communication Technology for Development (ICTD), she has worked in the ATLAS Laboratory for Playful Computation, conductingÌıresearch and helping developÌıthe open source BlockyTalkyBLEÌıplatform.ÌıShe is the founder of Code Wagon, a startup with the goal of teaching computer programming to girls, women and students from low-income neighborhoods by making it fun, accessible and useful. Santos graduatedÌıin December, 2017 with a master's degree in ICTD.Ìı
