BME Undergraduate Travel Grant Application
The Biomedical Engineering Program offers partial funding for undergraduate students to present research findings at meetings or conferences and/or attend leadership conferences.ÌýÌýThe goal of the travel grants is to support students in participating in regional and national conferences for research, leadership, and networking purposes. Students receiving funding through BME will be required to complete a Q&A about their travel experience that might be featured in an article on the BME website.
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant must be a current CU undergraduate student and BME major at the time of the application and the time of the conference/meeting
- The applicant must be making a presentation at the conference or be an officer in a CU student society associated with the conference
- If presenting, student must submit proof of conference/meeting presentation acceptance at the time of application
- An applicant must also apply for at least one other student-travel program for additional funding for their travel.
Guidelines
- Grants may be requested up to $500 for individuals and $1,500 for groups (3 or more students)Ìýor one half of the estimated costs, whichever is less.
- Students may receive funds from BME for travel only once per year (Sept 1 through August 31)
- Applications are taken on an ongoing basis until all funds are awarded
- Funded students will be required to complete a short evaluation at the completion of the conference or meeting
- Applications must be received at least one month prior to travel departure to allow for processing time.Ìý
- If awarded funds, the awardee will need to comply withÌý
Application
To apply, please use the application on the CEAS website to apply to both BME and for a matching travel grant from the Dean's office. ÌýBelow are the BME specific questions on the application.
