"Perceptual Influences from Smoking Cannabis: an Experimental Study"

Reason for this Study: Cannabis use is increasing across the US making it is important to understand potential risks and benefits of cannabis use and how CBD and THC, which are two different substances called cannabinoids found in cannabis, interact with the mind and body. Thus, the purpose of the study is to better understand the effects of cannabis in relation to mental and physical states including its relationship with mood, cognition, perception including the experience of temperature and pain, and heart rate.

What you will do: This study involves meeting with our research staff a total of two times over the course of 1 week: once at CU Boulder's main campus and once in our mobile laboratory at a location convenient to you. The first appointment will include completing a cognitive task and  brief and confidential surveys while the second appointment involves two different blood draws, a sensory task including hold your hand in water, cannabis use, and answering various questionnaires.

Who can be in the study: You must be between 21 and 65 years old and regularly use cannabis.
