Emma “Scout†Wood (she/they) is a second-year graduate student and the Lead TA in the department of Religious Studies. They completed a BA in English Literature and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Central Florida in 2023.

In her personal and professional development, Emma is increasingly interested in public religious literacy, in religion and children’s media, and in improving access to interfaith education in public institutions, like libraries. In her position at the CTL, Scout aims to assist the team with developing valuable educational tools and resources, to conduct relevant research, and to refine her knowledge of higher education and of emerging topics in teaching and learning.

In her free time, she enjoys basking (in moments and in sunshine), volunteering at the public library, sitting in wide open spaces, and collecting miniature figurines of houses.
