Dr. Kelly Gildersleeve started as the new Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning in June 2023. Prior to this role, Kelly was a teaching baby直播app member in the Department of Psychology & Neuroscience here at CU, where she also served as her department鈥檚 lead for the Quality Teaching Initiative. In the past, Kelly led assessment research and served as an academic advisor within LSA Student Academic Affairs at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor; taught and conducted psychology research as a baby直播app member at Chapman University; and completed postdoctoral research fellowships at Chapman University and UCLA. Kelly holds a PhD in social psychology with a minor in quantitative psychology from UCLA and a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology with a minor in art from Alma College.聽聽聽聽

Kelly is a passionate educator, with over a decade of postsecondary teaching experience and extensive experience advising and mentoring diverse students. Kelly also has expertise in assessment, including extensive experience using assessment to promote equity and social justice in higher education settings. In her new role at the CTL, Kelly is committed to advancing evidence-based and inclusive teaching practices, equity-minded approaches to assessment, and campus-wide initiatives to support the learning, engagement, and empowerment of all students. She is likewise committed to building community and creating opportunities for all who teach at CU to come together to reflect, share ideas, and support one another鈥檚 growth as innovators in higher education.聽
