Anna earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in sociology with a minor in magazine journalism, a master鈥檚 in sociology听and a master鈥檚 in mass communication, all from the University of Central Florida. Her research interests include hegemonic media practices, framing, and audience effects, with an emphasis on critical theory and political economy. She also focuses on quantitative methodologies and public scholarship. Prior to arriving at CU Boulder in Fall 2018, Anna held a baby直播app position at the University of Central Florida, where she worked in baby直播app development and taught communication research methods to undergraduates. As part of her baby直播app development position, she engaged in research on higher education, specializing in active learning, the achievement gap, teaching with technology听and textbook affordability.
