Katherine Wegher Haney (Comm'93) is the public affairs director for North Carolina鈥檚 Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. When she isn鈥檛 spending time with her husband, two daughters and miniature dachshund, she volunteers as vice president of the nonprofit charity CDH International, a global initiative to find the cause and cure for congenital diaphragmatic hernia, a birth defect that occurs in 1 in every 2,500 babies.

After losing his sight at age 36, Trevor Thomas (Econ鈥93) became a professional hiker. His guide dog, a black lab named Tenille, recently retired after seven years of service. Her successor is a golden lab named Lulu. Lulu is currently working on learning the items on Trevor鈥檚 shopping list and honing her backcountry navigation skills.

New Mexico native Michael L. Connor (Law), former deputy secretary of the Department of the Interior, joined Boston-based law firm WilmerHale. In 2014 Clint Folsom (Bus) was elected mayor of Superior, Colo., and has entered the second half of his four-year term. Clint owns Folsom & Company Real Estate and manages several rental properties in Boulder that are leased to CU students. During his time at CU, Clint was a member of the 1988 Presidents Leadership Class and is still an active supporter of the program. Clint and his wife, Leslie, have two children who attend schools in Superior.

Commander听John Plumb听(MPhys; PhDAeroEngr鈥03)听is running for Congress in听New York鈥檚 23rd district.听He was commissioned as听an officer in the U.S. Navy听and spent more than six听years on active duty, with听almost three years on the听fast attack submarine USS听San Juan. He has since听worked in the Senate, the听Pentagon and the White听House. John received the听Arctic Service Ribbon for听spending more than 28听days north of the Arctic听Circle. John is still in the听Navy reserves, serving as听commanding officer for the听Maritime Operations Center听reserve detachment.

In addition to听teaching, Lyn has performed as a singer and听conductor throughout听the U.S. and Europe. She听has also been an active听member of the National听Academy of Recording Arts听and Sciences, the organization known for the Grammy听Awards, for 25 years.
