Record number of education projects granted 2017-18 CU Boulder outreach awards

A record 13 projects led by School of Education researchers have been granted 2017-18 Outreach Awards to help support community engagement projects aimed at improving college readiness for students of color, faciltiating community dialogues around "opting out" of state assessments, starting a worker-owned co-op, and more.

Selected by the CU Boulder Outreach Committee, comprised of babyֱapp and community members, outreach projects connect CU Boulder babyֱapp research, creative work, or teaching with external community partners and constituents. The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and individual babyֱapp projects can earn up to $8,000 in funding while interdisciplinary or interdepartmental projects can receive up to $24,000 in support.

Programs received funding with contributions from the Office of the Chancellor, Office of the Provost, and the Division of Continuing Education, and the awards process is administered by the .
