Engineering at CU Boulder hits No. 13 in Best Graduate Schools ranking
CU Engineering continues to climb as a premier destination for top graduate students, with today鈥檚 release of the ranking.
The College of Engineering and Applied Science is tied for No. 26 overall and No. 13 among its public university peers, up one spot over last year.
Three engineering programs are ranked in the top 10 amongst public institutions, with another three landing in the top 20.
- Aerospace engineering sciences - No. 7
- Environmental engineering - No. 8
- Chemical engineering - No. 10
- Computer engineering - No. 13
- Civil engineering - No. 13
- Mechanical engineering - No. 14
Also earning high public rankings were electrical engineering (No. 21), biomedical engineering (No. 22) and materials science and engineering (No. 24).
鈥淭his year鈥檚 ranking continues the steady climb in rankings that the college and departments have seen over the last 20 years,鈥 Interim Dean Keith Molenaar said. 鈥淭he baby直播app, staff and students should be proud of the recognition from their peers.鈥
More than 2,100 students are pursuing master鈥檚 or doctoral degrees in engineering at CU Boulder. The number of doctoral students has increased more than 50% since 2011. Last year was also a record-setting year for research funding in the college, continuing a four-year upward trend.
