Top 10: College hits milestone in 2024 Best Graduate School rankings
The University of baby直播app Boulder has one of the top 10 public engineering graduate programs in the U.S., according to U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 for 2023-24.
When compared with peer public universities, the College of Engineering and Applied Science鈥檚 graduate program was ranked No. 10, tied with the University of Maryland, College Park. The two schools were No. 19 overall, when compared to both public and private universities.
Dean Keith Molenaar said the college鈥檚 climb from No. 20 public in 2016 to No. 10 public in 2024 represents a commitment to leading large-scale interdisciplinary research that generates fundamental knowledge and translates to positive impact on society.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really a reflection of the talented graduate students and baby直播app in CU Engineering,鈥 he added. 鈥淚鈥檓 so proud that all of their research and teaching efforts are being recognized, and we look forward to continuing to build a graduate student community where those with diverse backgrounds and research interests feel like they belong.鈥
In the engineering specialty rankings, four CU Engineering degree programs were also in the top 10, with an additional three in the top 20 amongst public institutions:
- Aerospace engineering sciences: No. 5
- Environmental engineering: No. 9
- Chemical engineering: No. 10
- Civil engineering: No. 10
- Mechanical engineering: No. 16
- Computer engineering: No. 18
- Computer science: No. 18
Also ranked were biomedical engineering (No. 22), biological engineering (No. 25), electrical engineering (No. 21) and materials science and engineering (No. 32).

As of fall 2022, more than 2,500 students were pursuing master鈥檚 and doctoral degrees in engineering and applied science at CU Boulder.
