This workshop will introduce you to the Student Leadership Competencies model and how you can use it to build leadership skills in working with your peers and friends. You will leave the workshop with at least one concrete goal for a competency you wish to develop and practice.

Handshake is CU’s online recruiting tool used by thousands of employers. Basic Handshake accounts are already set up for all current CU students, regardless of your major or year. Use it to: 

• Browse local, national and international internship and job postings for all majors.
• Find events where you can network with professionals, including new virtual employer events added each week.
• Read job and internship reviews for the companies you’re interested in on the Employer Pages.

Learn how to study effectively on a weekly cycle called the study cycle! Build habits and routines, and get organized with studying and homework. We’ll be giving away free goodies and food – plus, you can enter a drawing for an REI package that includes an REI gift card, mini pocket blanket and Puffin Drinkware koozie. 

Do you want to start your semester off with great habits? Meet with a Peer Academic Coach (PAC) to explore effective learning strategies and start the term strong! or drop in! Coaches are available Monday through Thursdays in the Hub (ECNW 150D) and the BOLD Center! 

Peer Academic Coaches are current undergraduate engineering students trained in research-based academic skills. They can help you explore tools and strategies to use for your engineering assignments, projects and preparing for exams.
