Liz earned an undergraduate degree in French from UCLA and has taught French and German at the elementary, middle and high school levels. After earning a Masters in French with German option from baby直播app State University, she was the instructor of Supervised College Teaching for the French graduate teaching assistants and taught French and German at CSU. Additionally, she served as baby直播app advisor for the CSU French Club and baby直播app liaison in Aix-en-Provence for the summer French program.

 

Her doctoral thesis, Positively Engaging, examines the writings of 3 women authors circa 1850 : feuilletonniste Clotilde de Vaux ; scientist/philosopher Cl茅mence Royer and poet Louise Ackermann. Her research shows how the works of these women were important in shaping the positivist thought prevalent in the nineteenth century.

 

She loves skiing, tennis, volleyball and cycling and her guilty pleasures are going out to brunch and reading mystery novels.
