Stress is a Laughing Matter: Using Humor as a Coping Strategy

When we鈥檙e stressed, people often say "You need to laugh it off", "Lighten up", or "Have a sense of humor about it" - which is great, but nobody ever tells us how to do that. In this funny & engaging talk, you'll learn evidence-based strategies to develop your sense of humor into an intentional tool to reduce stress and boost overall well-being. Combining proven methods & research from positive psychology with timeless tools from the world of comedy, you'll leave with numerous actionable ways to start using your own sense of humor as a powerful mindfulness tool.

This first-time event is sure to be insightful, uplifting, and provide a tangible understanding of well-being on our campus.
