JILA and NIST Fellow Jun Ye (Physics), the director of the CUbit Quantum Initiative, continues to gain recognition globally thanks to a number of recent awards and honors, including:
,听from the German Physical Society and OPTICA (formerly OSA). This award recognizes distinguished contributions in quantum optics and atomic physics as well as leadership in the international scientific community.听
,听awarded annually to a particularly outstanding researcher who is working in international cooperation and exchange of knowledge, two qualities exemplified by Bohr himself.听The award committee cited Ye鈥檚 fundamental work advancing the atomic optical lattice clock, which helps scientists to have better precision measurement and further study quantum science.
, from Clarivate鈥攁 data analytics company that identifies the world鈥檚 most influential researchers: in this case, the select few who have been most frequently cited by their peers over the last decade. Ye鈥檚 many published papers over the last year have been ranked in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science, according to Clarivate.
