Jamal A. Khlifat is aÌýdoctoral student researcher in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. He is also a graduate-student instructorÌý(GPTI)Ìýat the Program for Writing and Rhetoric (PWR) at the University of babyÖ±²¥app, Boulder. His research interests include bilingualism and its impact on semantics and phonological awareness, lexical semantics, forensic linguistics, phonetics, phonology (pharyngealization and pharyngeal harmony in Levantine Arabic,Ìýgemination in Levantine Arabic, nasalization and nasal geminates in Levantine Arabic), documentation of the world’s endangered languages, and rhetoric and Toulmin-style argumentation. His current work examines cross-linguistic syntactic priming in late Arabic-English bilingual speakers.Ìý
