At the American Society of Civil Engineers Environmental Water Resources Institute meeting in Minneapolis, MN, Elliot presented our work on decision making for the babyÖ±˛Ąapp River Basin and Prof. Kasprzyk presented on a new reclaimed water project that Brendan is working on with Prof. Ashlynn Stillwell. Prof. Kasprzyk also discussed the water treatment plant optimization at the American Water Works Association meeting in Las Vegas, NV. And at the International Environmental Modelling and Software Society meeting in Fort Collins, CO, Billy presented his new time series analysis method for water quality data, and Mikaela discussed multi-objective optimization for building materials with an improved compressive strength statistical model.</p></div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <h2> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--ucb-related-articles-block paragraph--view-mode--default"> <div>Off</div> </div> </h2> <div>Traditional</div> <div>0</div> <div>On</div> <div>White</div> Thu, 12 Jul 2018 20:27:00 +0000 Anonymous 29 at /lab/krg Kasprzyk Group at #AGU17 /lab/krg/2017/12/20/kasprzyk-group-agu17 <span>Kasprzyk Group at #AGU17</span> <span><span>Anonymous (not verified)</span></span> <span><time datetime="2017-12-20T00:00:00-07:00" title="Wednesday, December 20, 2017 - 00:00">Wed, 12/20/2017 - 00:00</time> </span> <div role="contentinfo" class="container ucb-article-tags" itemprop="keywords"> <span class="visually-hidden">Tags:</span> <div class="ucb-article-tag-icon" aria-hidden="true"> <i class="fa-solid fa-tags"></i> </div> <a href="/lab/krg/taxonomy/term/3" hreflang="en">Conferences</a> <a href="/lab/krg/taxonomy/term/1" hreflang="en">News</a> <a href="/lab/krg/taxonomy/term/5" hreflang="en">Student news</a> </div> <div class="ucb-article-content ucb-striped-content"> <div class="container"> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--article-content paragraph--view-mode--default"> <div class="ucb-article-content-media ucb-article-content-media-above"> <div> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--media paragraph--view-mode--default"> </div> </div> </div> <div class="ucb-article-text d-flex align-items-center" itemprop="articleBody"> <div><p>We had a nice trip at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2017 Fall Meeting, held this year in New Orleans.&nbsp; It is the largest earth and space science conference, and a highlight of our year.&nbsp; Let’s look at the sessions, posters, and presentations from our group:</p> <h3>Monday:</h3> <p>I will be helping to convene a session called “Water and Society: Achieving Water Security Under Climate Change, from Cloud Computing and Extreme Event Modeling to Decision Support and Policy”,&nbsp;<a href="https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm17/meetingapp.cgi/Session/31796" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">poster session Monday morning</a>&nbsp;in poster hall D-F and an&nbsp;<a href="https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm17/meetingapp.cgi/Session/34211" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">oral session from 4-6 pm</a>&nbsp;in room 280-282 which features an invited talk by&nbsp;<a href="http://ciresgroups.colorado.edu/livneh/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Prof. Ben Livneh</a>&nbsp;and a talk from former group member Dr. Amy Piscopo!</p> <h3>Tuesday:</h3> <p><a href="https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm17/meetingapp.cgi/Paper/263384" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Talk H23O-06</a>:&nbsp;“Bioremediation of Uranium-Contaminated Groundwater using Engineered Injection and Extraction”&nbsp;<strong>J Greene</strong>, R Neupauer, Ming Ye, J Kasprzyk, D Mays.
