J Flores Govea is a second-year PhD student and NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunities (NSTGRO) fellow at the University of baby直播app Boulder. He received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University. During his time at Clemson, he conducted research in a wide variety of areas (such as experimental fracture mechanics, autonomous navigation, and scramjet combustion)听and completed internships at Gulfstream Aerospace, General Electric Power, and Analytical Mechanics Associates. More recently, he was at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) studying the effect of ablation on the plasma environment around a hypersonic vehicle. For his research, he is interested in investigating MHD heat-flux mitigation and drag enhancement in various test gases using the CU-MAPLAB's ICP wind tunnels. Overall, his research interests are in hypersonics, plasma physics, and space technology.
