Research Bio
My work involves materials discovery in inorganic Halide Perovskite space for photovoltaic applications. Because of the unique properties that perovskites possess (including but not limited to band gap tunability via site alloying), perovskites are attractive candidates for photovoltaic devices. However only few of the compositions in the vast composition space that perovskites can occupy have been experimentally synthesized. My work is to computationally discover perovskite compositions that are overlooked that can be competitive in comparison to the few but more frequently experimentally investigated compositions.

In my downtime, I like to relax a little and not think about things that happen in life. I quite enjoy daydreaming, playing the keyboard, and cooking to destress. I sometimes also like to go to the gym to get some exercise in. I am not a hardcore outdoors person but I do very much enjoy going on hikes around boulder and going rock climbing when I have a climbing pass at a gym. There are many great hikes near the city I like, Brainard Lake recreation area for one contains beautiful trails with fresh, crisp air; Rocky Mountain National Park is a little further away but has tons of beautiful trails I like.
