Service and Social Action LLC
The Service and Social Action Living Learning Community (LLC) welcomes first-year students from all colleges and majors. We seek to develop leaders and propel them into a life dedicated to equity-based social action through purpose-driven service, education and reflection.

Eligibility
- This LLC is open to first-year students in the College of Arts and Sciences; Leeds School of Business; College of Media, Communication and Information; School of Education; College of Engineering and Applied Science; College of Music; Program in Environmental Design and Program in Exploratory Studies.
Program Details
- As Changemakers, students will join an inclusive community that inspires critical reflection and creates action-oriented social change.
- Students will get connected with opportunities on and off campus to further their passion for service and social change.
- Students will be required to move into the residence hall early and participate in the First-Year Service Experience pre-arrival program.
- Students will be paired with a peer mentor that will help them navigate their transition to college.
- Students will have priority placement in Alternative Spring Break programs.
- The Volunteer Resource Center and other campus offices provide support for this community.
