He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at the American University in Washington, DC and his master's degree in chemistry at UC Irvine in California.

- The Carbon Leadership Forum has published a new report on the potential for meaningful climate impact through materials that serve as carbon sinks. Co-authored by Wil Srubar, an associate professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder, the report, partially funded by Microsoft, highlights ways building construction can use new materials to reduce our carbon footprint and even become "carbon positive."

- The proliferation of plastic products has created an environmental challenge: what should be done with unusable, discarded plastic waste that can harm the environment? Faculty from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering are working on a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded project, Hydrogenolysis for Upcycling of Polyesters and Mixed Plastics, to address this serious environmental issue.
