Dear %%First Name%% %%Last Name%%,
You are receiving this message because CU Boulder has received both the and COVID-19 vaccines. We have confirmed that you are eligible to receive a vaccine based on the phases outlined by the state of babyֱapp.
Vaccine appointments at CU Boulder are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis so please schedule as soon as possible.
We have received multiple vaccine shipments and appointments will be available as follows:
- Appointments for the Moderna vaccine are available on Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16.
- Appointments for the Pfizer vaccine are available on Monday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 20.
Things to keep in mind before scheduling an appointment on Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16:
- The Moderna vaccine is two doses given approximately 28 days apart.
- Your appointment for your second dose will be automatically scheduled for Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14 at the same time as your first appointment. Please make every effort to attend your appointment for your second dose. If you miss this appointment, we can’t determine how quickly you will have another opportunity to receive a second dose through CU Boulder.
- If you will be heading home before May 13 and will not be able to return to campus for your second dose, here are some things to consider before scheduling an appointment:
- If after your first dose you cannot attend your automatically scheduled second dose appointment, please call Patient Access Services at 303-492-5101 to cancel.
- You should plan to look for a second dose of the Moderna vaccine in your home city or state. However, know that it could be harder to find a second dose at a location that is different from where you received your first dose.
- If you aren’t able to get a second dose at the designated time (28 days for Moderna after your first dose) it’s still important to schedule an appointment with another provider to receive your second dose as soon as you’re able to.
- If you will be heading home before May 13 and will not be able to return to campus for your second dose, here are some things to consider before scheduling an appointment:
- You will receive a confirmation email for your second dose appointment after you’ve received your first Moderna vaccine.
Things to keep in mind before scheduling an appointment on Monday, April 19 or Tuesday, April 20:
- The Pfizer vaccine is two doses given approximately 21 days apart.
- Your appointment for your second dose will be automatically scheduled for Monday, May 10 or Tuesday, May 11 at the same time as your first dose appointment. Please make every effort to attend your appointment for your second dose. If you miss this appointment, we can’t determine how quickly you will have another opportunity to receive a second dose through CU Boulder.
