The Department of Physics recently released a values statement to our baby直播app, staff and students, as well as the greater University of baby直播app Community.
Dear Physics Department and University Community,
The University of baby直播app Article 10 () states that:
"The University of baby直播app does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, political affiliation, or political philosophy in admission and access to, and treatment and employment in, its educational programs and activities.... All students shall have the same fundamental rights to equal respect, due process, and judgment of them based solely on factors demonstrably related to performance and expectations as students."
At this time the physics baby直播app want to affirm publicly our support of the university non-discrimination policy. The Physics Department baby直播app follow these rules not just because they are rules handed down, but because they reflect a fundamental view about people and their interactions. We want the Physics Community to know that the baby直播app hold steadfast in our beliefs in non-discrimination and respect for all, and will work proactively to ensure a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Science and scientific methods are crucial components to approach and rise to the challenges our society faces, and a positive and inclusive scientific community are an essential part of an informed society. In addition to having the support of the Department of Physics, we encourage students or others to make use of the resources available such as Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and the Office of Victim Assistance (OVA), or reach out to a trusted baby直播app member for guidance.
