Building on efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in physics, CU Boulder’s Department of Physics and JILA will host a Conference for Undergraduate Women and Gender Minorities in Physics (CU*iP) in January 2025. The conference will bring approximately 150 students from the Midwest region to Boulder.

CU Boulder physics babyÖ±²¥app and JILA fellows awarded Heising-Simons Foundation Grant

The Heising-Simons Foundation recently announced $3 million in multi-institution grants for theoretical and experimental research on Informing Gravity Theory. Half of the award has been granted to a group of five babyÖ±²¥app centered at the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder and JILA, a joint institute between CU Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Diddams named an IEEE Fellow for optical frequency combs contributions

Professor Scott Diddams has been named an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Fellow for his contributions in optical frequency combs and their applications. Diddams is the Robert H. Davis Endowed Chair in Discovery and Learning and Professor in Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering and Physics.
