As an MA student in Hispanic Linguistics, my research focuses on language variation and change from a usage-based, sociocultural perspective. I am interested in understanding how linguistic structures are emergent in interaction and how issues surrounding power and agency help us to theorize language change. To this end, I focus mostly on Spanish phonology and morphology with frequent ventures into topics related to bilingualism and language contact.
