Transportation

Driving to campus

Boulder is 30 minutes from downtown Denver, one hour from Fort Collins and Greeley, one hour and 45 minutes from babyÖ±²¥app Springs, five hours from Grand Junction and one hour from DIA.

Parking

If you are driving to campus with a relative/friend on the first day of your trip, be sure to locate the areas on the map which indicate parking closest to the Recreation Center. The large parking garage at 18th and Euclid will have more available spots than the other metered spots along the streets. There is also a large parking garage at the southeast corner of babyÖ±²¥app and Regent Drive.

Temporary permits

Parking Services on campus offers day and week-long temporary parking permits. If you are bringing a car to campus, you may want to stop by their office at 1050 Regent Dr. or call them at 303-735-7275 to purchase a temporary permit for when you're on your trip.

Traveling from the airport

There are several options for ground transportation to and from Boulder and Denver International Airport (DIA). The trip between DIA and Boulder takes about one hour. The bus and shuttle systems are both very reliable, efficient and clean. We don't suggest that you take a taxi since it can be rather expensive. Please note that none of these options are affiliate with CU or the Outdoor Program.

Bus

Regional Transportation District (RTD) public buses:

RTD Bus

The ride to Boulder takes approximately one and a half hours. The bus makes several stops along Broadway before arriving at the main bus terminal. If you are coming directly to the Rec Center, exit at Euclid and Broadway (by the UMC). You may need to contact your hotel or a taxi to arrange additional transportation to your desired location. You can also visit the RTD website at  and click on skyride.

Shuttle

The Supershuttle: (private company)
The Supershuttle vans provide a little more personalized service by delivering you directly to your desired location. You need to make reservations with Supershuttle for the day you plan to travel. Shuttles take approximately one hour and twenty minutes. You can visit their website at .

Courtesy Vehicles (private company)
If you're staying at a hotel prior to the first day of CU in the Rockies, you might check to see if they offer a courtesy shuttle from the airport.

Uber and Lyft: (private company)
