Scuba
Scuba courses are available to all Recreation Center Members (with a minimum of a month long membership; trial memberships excluded). For safety reasons, participants must be meet the following requirements:
- Must have basic swimming skills and be able to swim 200 yards using strokes other than the doggie paddle.
- Must be able to hold your breath under water.
- If you have epilepsy and asthma you will not be able to participate without a physician's note.

This four-day course will teach you the basics of scuba diving and prepare you to become NAUI certified. Diving equipment is provided.
Requirements
- Participants must be Rec Center members.

Scuba Refresher
This course will help you review and refresh your scuba skills in preparation for your next dive. Diving equipment is provided.
Requirements

- Participants must present a current Open Water Certification to attend.

​Advanced Scuba
Deep diving (60+ feet), night dives and wreck dives often require advanced certification. This course will prepare you to participate in these types of dives.
- Participants must be Rec Center members.
- Participants must have Basic Open Water Certification from a nationally recognized certification agency.
- Participants must complete six hours of classroom lessons, including two lectures.
- Participants must complete six open water dives (limit four dives per day). Three of the six dives must include night/limited visibility, deep and navigation dives.

Master Diver
This course will teach you about the stresses, physics and physiology of diving, navigation and rescue techniques. This course will also cover diving organization, dive safety and emergency procedures. All diving equipment is provided except for MSF and boots.

- Participants must have an Advanced Open Water Certification from a nationally recognized certification agency.

​Scuba Rescue Diver
The academic portion of this course consists of rescue techniques, accident prevention, dive control and organization. Basic medical treatment and first aid for diving accidents are also covered. This course is taught as a precursor for the divemaster program. All necessary equipment is provided except for MSF and boots.

- Participants must have the following certifications: Master Diver, First Aid, CPR.
