Dr. Baiduc is a hearing scientist with expertise in public health. She is the director of the Hearing Epidemiology and Research Diagnostics (HEARD) Laboratory. Her primary research interest is exploring risk factors for hearing loss especially cardiovascular disease and its antecedents. Risk factors she is currently exploring include tobacco and marijuana smoking, hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

Professor Baiduc performs translational laboratory-based research to explore the effects of individual and aggregate cardiovascular disease risk factors on auditory function. Current projects utilize otoacoustic emissions, auditory brainstem response, and electrocochleography testing. The HEARD laboratory also conducts epidemiological research using the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos dataset.

Her research has been funded by the University of baby直播app Innovative Seed Grant and Hearing Health Foundation Emerging Research Grant. She is a member of the baby直播app Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) and Center for Research and Education Addressing Cannabis and Health (CU REACH). She teaches courses for the undergraduate and graduate (AuD) programs. She earned her MPH and PhD from Northwestern University.
