Undergraduate researcher
Rachel studied the genetic basis of color polymorphism in Iochroma calcyinum聽from 2011 to 2015. 聽She was an NIH-INBRE scholar and聽a Goldwater Scholar, and聽her honors thesis was published in the American Journal of Botany in 2015. She completed medical school at聽the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and is now a clinical assistant professor in the UW-Madison Department of Medicine.
