Cycling: A Long History of Success
Since 1987, the year of the first Collegiate National Championships, the University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder has produced over 60 individual National Champions and taken home 12 Team Event National titles (Road Team Time Trial and Track Team Pursuit). Additionally, we have won the Overall Team Omnium at 12 National Championships. Many University of babyÖ±²¥app Boulder racers have gone on to the professional ranks after graduation and achieved success at the highest level of the sport.

Team History
1987-88
At the first National Collegiate ROAD Championships, held in San Luis Obispo, CA,Ìýthe team wins its first national titles with John Stenner winning the Men's Road Race and the team winning both the Men's and Women's Team Time Trial.
The team would go on to win theÌýNational Collegiate Road Championships in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
1991-92
The team wins theÌýNational Collegiate TRACK ChampionshipsÌýOverall Team Title with TimÌýPeddie and Sunne Pollart winning the Men's and Women's Omnium, respectively. Sunne also won the Women's Pursuit and Time won the Points Race.
1998-99
The team wins the Division I overall team title at theÌýNational Collegiate ROAD Championships, the first year collegiate cycling is split into divisions. Matt Carlson won the individual omnium, Alex Candelario the Road Race, and the Men won the Team Time Trial.
The team also won theÌýNational Collegiate MTB Championships Team Overall, Women's Omnium (Stacey McIlwaine), Men's XC (Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski), Women's XC (Katherine Zambrana), Men's DS (Brant Hendler), and Women's DS (Jennifer Johnson).
Alex Candelario also won the Men's title at theÌýNational Collegiate CYCLOCROSS Championships.
2014
The team ends an 8-year drought and breaks the stranglehold that Varsity Teams have on national championships by winning theÌýNational Collegiate MTB Championships held in Beech Mountain, NC.
