Strategic Relations and Communications welcomed Kellen Short to its team as a speechwriter for Chancellor Philip DiStefano on Sept. 1.
Short spent the last five years in the College of Engineering and Applied Science as a communication specialist and assistant director of communications.
She also worked in public relations and as a newspaper reporter in her home state of North Carolina, where she earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.听
Outside of work, Short enjoys indoor soccer and is learning to play golf. She lives in Longmont with her cat, Rambler.
鈥淚鈥檓 excited to be joining SRC, seeing the university from a broader perspective, and getting back to my first love, which is writing,鈥� she said.
