New Online Development Program for Summer Session

For the last 10 years, the Summer Online Course Development Grant Program has funded the creation of close to 200 online courses offered in the Summer Session. This program has provided compensation and guidance to baby直播app wanting to create online classes and focused on growing an inventory of online courses.

With the dramatic changes that occurred during the Summer of 2020, the Summer Session Deans have decided to end this program and replace it with a new training opportunity for baby直播app and instructors wanting to develop online courses for the Summer of 2021.

The Online Teaching Academy for Summer 2021 will focus on increasing the skills and knowledge of baby直播app and instructors wanting to teach Online and Hybrid Remote/Online.  Participants chosen for the Academy's Summer 2021 program will work in cohort groups led by an Online Instructional Designer. Upon completion of the program, participants will be eligible to receive $1,500 added to their Summer 2021 teaching salary.

The training program will be held during February 2021 and will consist of weekly remote meetings over a four week period. The curriculum will be based on national standards for online teaching found in the  and will cover topics regarding online teaching (asynchronous) as well as remote/online hybrid teaching (synchronous and asynchronous).

To apply for the Academy, please send an email to your department head expressing your interest in improving your online teaching skills. If your application is approved by your chair, then they should forward it with a statement of support to your School/College's Summer Session Assistant Dean. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2020.
