Three finalists for director of Facilities Management at the University of baby直播app at Boulder are scheduled to visit the campus for interviews this month.
The finalists are James Demarest, executive director of the Facility Management Department at Illinois State University; James Ellis, director of land planning and infrastructure management for Jefferson County; and Elizabeth Lander Medlin, associate vice president of the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers and former assistant director of the Department of Physical Plant at the University of Maryland.
Demarest will interview with the campus community on Dec. 11, Ellis on Dec. 15 and Lander Medlin on Dec. 18.
The schedule will include meetings with administrative directors, Facilities Management staff and managers, student representatives and the search committee. An open forum will be held with each candidate from 4 to 5 p.m. on the day of their visit. On Dec. 11 and Dec. 15, the open forum will be in the University Memorial Center, room 422; on Dec. 18, the open forum will be in UMC room 425.
Selection of a new director is expected to be made by mid-January by Vice Chancellor for Administration and former Facilities Management Director Paul Tabolt. The decision will be contingent on approval by the Board of Regents.

The position of facilities management director is responsible for overall administration of facilities master planning, capital planning, design and construction, utilities and energy conservation, custodial and recycling services, grounds care and maintenance.
The department supports 9.6 million gross square feet of academic, administrative and research facilities, including 220 buildings on 748 acres. The organization employs 335 staff, has an operating budget of $18.2 million and oversees a $150 million capital program.
