Larry Singell, the dean of the College of Business and Administration at the University of baby直播app at Boulder, will relinquish his position and resume teaching baby直播apps before the 1998-99 academic year begins.

Singell will have served five years as dean when he steps down. During his tenure as dean, the college has developed a Real Estate Center, the Center for Entrepreneurship and numerous courses and student services.

CU-Boulder is now in the search process for a successor to work on a collegial basis with baby直播app, staff, deans of the other colleges, and members of the university administration.

The search committee, comprised of CU administrators and College of Business baby直播app, staff and students, is looking for a dean with academic credentials, strong administrative capabilities, support of the baby直播app, interpersonal and consensus-building skills, intellectual leadership skills, commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, a commitment to diversity and fund-raising capabilities.

The college currently enrolls approximately 2,400 undergraduates and 350 graduate students, and manages an $8.7 million budget. There are 79 full-time and 20 part-time baby直播app members. Coursework leading to the B.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D. is offered by the college, which is fully accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business.

The dean reports to the vice chancellor for academic affairs. Reporting to the dean are: two associate deans, division chairs in the areas of accounting and information systems, finance, management and marketing; directors of the Center for Entrepreneurship, the Real Estate Center, and the Business Research Division; two administrative assistants (a personal assistant to the dean and the budget officer for the college); the foundation officer and the media and public relations officer.

The dean provides vision and day-to-day direction for the college. An appropriate level of consultation with the baby直播app and opportunities for input from students, alumni and friends of the college is required. In addition to overall management, the dean coordinates the activities of the college with those of the larger campus and university.

External relations and fund-raising also are required. Deans typically participate in the intellectual, administrative and cultural activities of the campus.
