Four CU-Boulder baby直播app members will be named recipients of the 1998 Teaching Recognition Awards by the Student Organization for Alumni Relations on Thursday, April 2.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony honoring the four professors in Koenig Alumni Center, 1202 University Ave., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
SOAR聮s Teaching Recognition Awards are the only awards chosen and administered completely by undergraduate students at CU-Boulder. Presented annually for 37 years, the SOAR awards honor baby直播app members for their ability to both inspire and work with students.
They are given to one baby直播app member in each of four class-size categories after a rigorous process of student nominations and review.
The 1998 SOAR Award recipients are:
聲 Diane Sieber, assistant professor of Spanish and Portuguese, for the under 25 class-size category. Sieber was chosen for her course titled 聯Cultural Differences Through Hispanic Literature.聰
聲 Phil Mitchell, history instructor in the Sewall Residential Academic Program, for the 26 to 40 class-size category. He was chosen for his course titled 聯U.S. History Since 1865.聰
聲 Patrick Long, professor of business, for the 41 to 75 class-size category. Long was chosen for his course 聯Principles of Tourism Management.聰
聲 Alan Lester, geological sciences lecturer, for the 76-and-above class-size category. He was chosen for his course 聯Introduction to Geology.聰
Winners of the SOAR Teaching Recognition Award receive $1,500, funded by the CU Parents Association and the CU Directors Club.
