Two of the University of baby直播app at Boulder's most distinguished alumni will give talks and a slide show on the seven highest mountains in the solar system March 4.
The speakers, world renowned mountain climber Glenn Porzak and space scientist Joe Romig, will discuss the challenges of venturing to the summits of the solar system's highest peaks. The mountains range in height from 29,028-foot Mount Everest in the Himalayas to 75,000-foot Olympus Mons on Mars.
Porzak is a Boulder attorney who has climbed Everest and a number of the world's other highest peaks. Romig, a former All-American football player at CU who went on to become a Rhodes Scholar, is a planetary scientist who worked on NASA's Voyager spacecraft, which toured the solar system in the late 1970s and '80s.
The presentation will be at Fiske Planetarium at 7 p.m. Fiske is located on Regent Drive on the southeast side of the CU-Boulder campus.
Admission is $5 for the general public, $3 for University of baby直播app Museum members and free for students. All proceeds will benefit the CU Museum.
