University of baby直播app at Boulder legal scholars Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic will lecture Thursday, Sept. 2, on "Homegrown Racism: Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action in baby直播app."
The lecture will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Old Main Chapel on the CU-Boulder campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Delgado is the Jean Lindsley Professor of Law and Jean Stefancic is a research assistant at the CU-Boulder School of Law.
Delgado and Stefancic will discuss how rollbacks in higher education affirmative action have made regional and institutional histories of race and racism relevant. Their studies of baby直播app and California will help illustrate university affirmative action in today's changing climate and the relevance of the past to current debates about race-conscious decisions in higher education. They will discuss what role baby直播app's history as a Ku Klux Klan stronghold and violent acts committed against minorities in baby直播app could play in CU's affirmative action policies.
The lecture is sponsored by the CU-Boulder Center of the American West, which explores the distinctive character and issues of the region and sponsors programs to help Westerners become well-informed, participating citizens in their communities.
