Next fall students at the University of baby直播app at Boulder will have an easily accessible, one-stop service location where many of their financial, academic and administrative questions will be answered.
The university's goal to create a pilot student convenience center is on its way to becoming a reality, due to the recent selection of an associate manager for the project.
Robyn Sandekian, a CU-Boulder alumna, has been appointed to develop the center, according to Jean Delaney, manager of the project dubbed "Designing Student Services for the 21st Century: Student Odyssey."
Sandekian will assume the position Dec. 15. She will be located in Regent Hall until a service center location is determined.
"Robyn is very much in touch with students and is well versed in student issues as well as project development," Delaney said.
"I am confident that she has the experience to determine what services are a top priority for students and how we can provide them at the center."
Services at the convenience center would include well-trained staff, web-linked computers, telephones, drop-boxes and guidance counselors, in addition to other features.
Sandekian earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in aerospace engineering from CU-Boulder and has additional coursework in psychology, gender issues and peer counseling.
She has served as associate director and program coordinator of the university's Women in Engineering Program since 1994. She also has participated on campus committees designed to improve student experiences and has counseled undergraduate students on academic, personal and career issues.
The Student Odyssey Project is an initiative of the chancellor and the vice chancellors to improve the delivery of services to students on the Boulder campus.
The project complements the university's strategic goals, which include being more responsive to students, using technology to improve teaching, learning and research and enhancing the university聮s human, capital, financial and organizational infrastructures.
