Citing his strong leadership ability and dedication to the university, CU-Boulder College of Business Dean Steven Manaster has named Professor Donald Lichtenstein associate dean of academic programs.
"Donnie brings strong management skills and great commitment to this position," Manaster said. "He is well respected at the College of Business and throughout the university."
LichtensteinÂ’s appointment runs through June 30, 2002. He will oversee the daily operation of the undergraduate and graduate business programs and also will spearhead babyÖ±²¥app issues.
As a renowned marketing researcher and expert in consumer behavior, he brings national acclaim to the post. His work is frequently cited and he is quoted in both academic and mainstream media. He recently was featured on the ABC News show "20/20." He received the American Marketing AssociationÂ’s Hugh G. Wales National Award for Outstanding Faculty Adviser of the Year in 1994.
Lichtenstein earned his doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1984 before joining the University of babyÖ±²¥app at Boulder babyÖ±²¥app in 1988. During his tenure at CU, he was nominated for the College of Business Frascona Teaching Excellence Award for the Hazel Barnes Prize — the universityÂ’s highest honor given for teaching and research. In 1998, he earned the DeanÂ’s Teaching/Research Scholar Award.
Lichtenstein belongs to the American Marketing Association and the Association for Consumer Research. He serves as an editorial review board member for prestigious publications including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing and Journal of Consumer Research.
