Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court will give the keynote address at the University of baby直播app Law School鈥檚 Gathering of the Bench and Bar Conference to be held Sept. 19-21 in Boulder.

Ginsburg will deliver the Byron R. White Center for the Study of American Constitutional Law鈥檚 second annual Stevens Lecture on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. in the University Memorial Center鈥檚 Glenn Miller Ballroom at CU-Boulder. The Stevens Lecture is open to the public but seating is limited and those seeking to attend must register online by Sept. 12.
Last year鈥檚 Stevens Lecture was delivered by former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and next year鈥檚 Stevens Lecture will be presented by former Justice Sandra Day O鈥機onnor.
Earlier on Sept. 19 and also on Sept. 20, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit will hold hearings from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Wolf Law Building鈥檚 Wittemyer Courtroom. The hearings are free and open to the public and no registration is needed.听
On Sept. 20 and 21, the conference will move to Boulder鈥檚 St. Julien Hotel, where attendees registered for the conference will participate in a combination of general panels and breakout sessions.听
On Sept. 20 at 3:20 p.m., three important figures in the history of the Affordable Care Act will be part of a panel considering the impact of the Supreme Court鈥檚 health care reform decision.
Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, former special adviser for health care to the Office of Management and Budget, and Dr. Robert Kocher, former special assistant to the president on health care -- both of whom helped draft the Affordable Care Act -- will join Paul Clement, the former solicitor general of the United States who argued against the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act before the Supreme Court.
On Sept. 21 at 10:20 a.m., members of the press will provide a rare perspective on judicial affairs. Speakers will include Jess Bravin of The Wall Street Journal, Dahlia Lithwick of Slate.com and Newsweek, and Eugene Volokh of The Volokh Conspiracy. They will address questions posed by Denver鈥檚 own Rebecca Askew, owner and publisher of Law Week baby直播app.听
The conference kicks off with a lineup of distinguished speakers on Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m. in baby直播app Law鈥檚 Wittemyer Courtroom with opening remarks from Judges Neil M. Gorsuch and Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Tenth Circuit, Chief Judge Wiley Daniel of the U.S. District Court for the District of baby直播app, and Chief Justice Michael Bender (Law 鈥67) of the baby直播app Supreme Court.听

Those attending Ginsburg鈥檚 lecture must bring government-issued identification and no personal items will be allowed inside, including purses and backpacks. The screening process will open at 3:30 p.m. and attendees are advised to arrive before 4:15 p.m.
