Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak will engage in a lively talk organized and moderated by students at 7 p.m. Monday, April 4, in Macky Auditorium, the Cultural Events Board and Conference on World Affairs Student Group announced today.
Wozniak’s talk doubles as the keynote presentation for the 68th Conference on World Affairs to be held April 4 to 8.
Wozniak’s interests span various fields, including creativity, education and robotics. This variety of interests has led him in different business and philanthropic ventures. Most recently, he has focused on computer capabilities in schools and the importance of hands-on learning and creativity.
Wozniak also founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and was the founding sponsor of the Tech Museum, Silicon Valley Ballet and Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose. Wozniak currently serves as chief scientist for Fusion-IO. He published the New York Times best-selling autobiography, iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon, in September 2006.
As with all Conference on World Affairs panels, the event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entry. Student tickets will be available beginning March 28 on campus. A valid Buff OneCard is required to redeem one ticket per student. Seats are assigned. If students want to sit together they must be present together when redeeming their tickets.
Faculty, staff and community tickets are assigned via lottery online at . Each entry is good for two seats together. Enrolled CU-Boulder students are not eligible to enter the lottery.
