This Thursday, Nov. 3, Boulder Campus Staff Council and CU Student Government will host a town hall debate on Amendment 69, also known as baby直播appCare. The debate will be held from 5听to 6:15 p.m.听in the Abrams Lounge in the Center for Community (C4C).听Ron Vejrostek, a spokesperson for , and Michael Cooke, campaign manager for (a group opposed to Amendment 69), will debate the amendment and its impact on baby直播app residents. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Amendment 69 is a citizen-initiated constitutional amendment that would establish a new political subdivision of the state called 鈥渂aby直播appCare鈥 that would provide universal healthcare coverage and finance healthcare services for baby直播app residents. Amendment 69 would not prevent people from purchasing private health insurance. To fund baby直播appCare, a 10 percent payroll tax would be implemented, with employers paying 6.67 percent and employees paying 3.33 percent.

Boulder Campus Staff Council represents, informs and educates University of baby直播app Boulder staff employees by serving as a liaison between employees and campus, university system听and state administration. The council recommends proposals to the administration that are designed to improve morale and advocate for the rights of staff employees. The University of baby直播app Student Government (CUSG) is the student body government for the University of baby直播app Boulder. CUSG creates, implements and oversees a $24 million budget generated by student fees and self-generated revenue for the operation of CUSG cost centers. CUSG also serves as the liaison between the student body and University Administration.
