As we look forward to Veterans Day this Friday, Nov. 11, we encourage you to take a moment and consider the debt of gratitude we owe our veterans. Without their service and dedication to our nation, our freedom and liberties would not be as secure as they are today. The adage that 鈥渇reedom isn't free鈥� is so true and it鈥檚 our veterans who have paid the highest price for that freedom.听
With so much attention focused on the things that divide us and the frustrating stories that seem to dominate the daily news cycle, it鈥檚 far too easy to overlook something that should unify us鈥攐ur gratitude for the sacrifices of those still serving and those who have served so gallantly and selflessly in our armed forces. That's why I ask you to take a moment to reflect on how much we owe the silent heroes in our midst. This Veterans Day, please don't forget to thank a vet, it鈥檚 the one day of the year our country has set aside to honor our veterans and acknowledge the legacy of their steadfast defense of our American ideals, principles and liberties.
