On Nov. 22, a federal judge in Texas put in place a preliminary injunction on the implementation of the the from overtime pay, scheduled to go into effect on Dec. 1, 2016.

On Nov. 23, an update was sent to babyÖ±²¥app and staff, advising campus units to continue completing human resources paperwork that was in progress to meet the implementation deadline while campus impacts were evaluated.

As a result of the court's order, the new FLSA rules will not go into effect on Dec. 1 as expected, and the campus has revised its compliance plans accordingly.

CU Boulder units are now being asked to hold changing employees’ FLSA status from overtime exempt to overtime eligible (non-exempt) until the court injunction is resolved. This means employees who were told they would become overtime eligible Dec. 1, this is no longer the case. Human Resources will evaluate the situation and update affected employees and departments if the situation changes.

Employees advised of a Dec. 1 salary increase will see the pay increase as planned, and departments should complete any processing still underway.
