"Donate here" Food for Fines sign sits next to donated food itemsThe Food for Fines event hosted by CU Boulder’s Parking Services the week prior to Thanksgiving was a win-winÌýfor everyone involved!

Between Nov. 14 and Nov. 18, over 202 babyÖ±²¥app, staff and students stopped by the Parking Services office and donated food to pay for their CU Boulder parking fines.ÌýSeveral benevolent employees, with no fines to pay, also made donations.

All food items were given to Boulder'sÌýHarvest of Hope Pantry, providing healthy, supplemental food for families and individuals in need of assistance.

The final results of the food drive are as follows:

  • 207 outstanding parking citations (valued at $7,205) were forgiven, and
  • 1,784 food items were donated, totaling 1,454 pounds of food.

In addition to the citations voided by food donations, an additional 20 outstanding citations were resolved during this time period.

Parking Services extends thanks to all who supported the Food for Fines program andÌýshared and posted information to help Boulder’s Harvest of Hope Pantry.
