Do you have photographs from your fieldwork, a class field tripÌýor a hike at Chautauqua (or anywhere)? The Jerry Crail Johnson Earth Sciences & Map Library is holding a photo contest to highlight student photography related to geology, physical geography and environmental sciences.
The contest is open to allÌýCU Boulder students, and each studentÌýcan submit up to threeÌýphotos. Entries will be accepted through Friday, April 14,Ìýat 11:59 p.m.
Photos will be judged on:
- Artistic merit (photographic quality, composition and aesthetics);Ìý
- How well an earth feature, processÌýor landscape is captured (as shown through the image, not solely in the description); and
- The short, well-written description of the photograph that explains the earth feature or natural landscape being depicted (one to three sentences).
The winner will be announced on May 1, and up to 10 entries will be displayedÌýin the Earth Sciences & Map Library stairwell during the 2017-18 school year.
