Undergraduates Haley Hyde and Matthew Vivirito created the Mobile Interdisciplinary Networking Exhibition (M.I.N.E.) as a participatory platform to bring communities into closer dialogue with institutional information centers like universities and museums.Ìý

With financial support from the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), Hyde and Vivirito aim to address gaps between the formal presentation of information and the informal networks where the general public engages with information, such as social media.

The students were supervised by Associate Professor Richard Saxton,ÌýanÌýartist, designerÌýand founder of the M12 Collective—an interdisciplinary group that develops projects through dialogical and collaborative approaches.

Each year UROP provides funding to support hundreds of student-babyÖ±²¥app partnerships for projects in all fields of study.ÌýExplore opportunities at the UROP website.
