The NSF requires that all proposals explicitly describe the 鈥淏roader Impacts鈥 of proposed scientific research鈥攖he ways in which the research will benefit society and achieve specific educational outcomes. The quality of Broader Impacts statements is increasingly valued by reviewers and affects the competitiveness of proposals.

This hands-on event, hosted by the Research & Innovation Office (RIO), will help baby直播app identify resources available to assist in the development of Broader Impacts statements and plans.
Please join us over lunch for fast-paced, IGNITE-style presentations from a variety of CU Boulder Broader Impacts campus resources, including: CU Science Discovery, CIRES Outreach & Education Office,听Fiske Planetarium, CU Natural History Museum, Technology Transfer Office, Office for Outreach and Engagement, among other campus units. Faculty who have leveraged these campus resources to develop and execute compelling Broader Impacts plans will also present.
After the presentations, this event will feature an interactive Broader Impacts Expo where participants will be given the chance to brainstorm with education and outreach professionals about developing Broader Impacts components that will complement and enhance their research programs.
